After a longer than expected but wonderfully relaxing summer in South Carolina with my parents, I am gearing up for my last week or so before moving to Southeast Asia. I'm vaccinated--with a lingering bruise on my right shoulder to prove it--and have home remedies flowing out of my bags to hopefully keep those pesky mosquitoes at bay. I got my visa a week ago, so now all I'm missing is a plane ticket--although I've got my bags packed! For now I get to play around with my blog so I can keep friends and family up-to-date on my travels and new experiences in Hanoi. This is my first foray into blogging, so I can't promise there will be new content every day or that something amazing will happen to me every day for the next year that will keep you guys glued to my blog--I can only hope, as I'm sure you do too. I do promise to try to keep the rambling to a minimum and not post every little detail of my life in Vietnam.
